The State College Regional Airport name is now on PennDOT signage as drivers approach the airport from I-99. The State College Regional Airport was renamed from the University Park Airport in late 2023. There was a delay in changing the name on the PennDOT signs due to spacing related to the number of words. Consequently, the new name is partially abbreviated to “S C Regional Airport”.

State College Regional Airport is completing the design phase for installing passenger boarding bridges and making related modifications to the terminal building.

Starting April 1st, State College Regional Airport (SCE) will offer four daily flights to Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) on United Airlines!

State College Regional Airport, and the Centre County Airport Authority, jointly announced  plans  to design and to construct two Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBB) to enhance the travel experience for commercial airline passengers.  

The Centre County Airport Authority board of directors are pleased to announce a reduction in charges applied directly to the airlines operating at the State College Regional Airport (SCE).The Authority understands that in recent years, all airlines found it difficult but necessary to make service adjustments to most of their operational markets including SCE . As these events have unfolded, the State College Regional Airport has monitored the changes closely. The result identified the need to reduce the costs for the foreseeable future that are directly borne by the airlines.
