The State College Regional Airport name is now on PennDOT signage as drivers approach the airport from I-99. The State College Regional Airport was renamed from the University Park Airport in late 2023. There was a delay in changing the name on the PennDOT signs due to spacing related to the number of words. Consequently, the new name is partially abbreviated to “S C Regional Airport”.

State College Regional Airport is completing the design phase for installing passenger boarding bridges and making related modifications to the terminal building.

Chris Groshel, the Chairman of the Centre County Airport Authority, announced today that the Authority's long-time Executive Director, James Meyer, will step down on June 30, 2025.

Starting April 1st, State College Regional Airport (SCE) will offer four daily flights to Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) on United Airlines!
